The 2023 IEEE Vision, Innovation, and Challenges Summit (IEEE VIC Summit) & Honors Ceremony was held on Friday, 5 May 2023 at the Hilton Atlanta. Please continue to check back for information about the 2024 IEEE VIC Summit and Honors Ceremony.
The IEEE VIC Summit and Ceremony – IEEE’s premier event that highlights the innovation and creativity of engineering, science, and technology through provocative, educational, and inspiring talks with a vision for the future. The event draws in individuals from all over the world, from student-young professionals to mid-high-level professionals in the tech ecosystem.
The Summit culminates with the IEEE Honors Ceremony Gala—an evening of festivities that include the celebration of the contributions of some of the greatest minds—a diverse array of engineers, scientists, leaders, entrepreneurs, and practitioners—who have advanced technology for the benefit of humanity.
The pre-event meet and greet was held at the Georgia Aquarium on Thursday, 4 May 2023.

2023 IEEE Medal and Recognition Recipients
IEEE Life Fellow, Vinton (Vint) G. Cerf, the 2023 IEEE Medal of Honor Recipient, was recognized for co-creating the Internet architecture and providing sustained leadership in its phenomenal growth in becoming society’s critical infrastructure. He is the Vice-President and Chief Internet Evangelist at Google. Cerf received the Medal of Honor at the IEEE Honors Ceremony in Atlanta. Read more about Vint Cerf.

Knowledge Alliance is our mentor-mentee program that takes place in-person at the IEEE VIC Summit between career professionals and undergraduate students.
