Hope Merritt III

Moderator for Innovator’s Panel

Hope Merritt III serves as the Vice President and General Manager of Data Center Platform Application Engineering (DCPAE) within DCAI’s Data Platforms Engineering and Architecture (DPEA) organization. Hope is a 26-year Intel veteran with extensive leadership and management experience ranging from traditional launch support to technology enabling across multiple business units and product lines.

In his previous role, he led the Customer Discovery and Engineering (CDE) team in the RealSense™ Group and was responsible for growing new businesses in key segments such as Robotics, Facial Authentication, and Object Recognition. Before his role in the RealSense™ Group, he served in CCG managing the Intel Processor Graphics, Perceptual Computing, and Storage Sub-System launches and led a variety of key initiatives which bolstered Intel’s graphics positioning with customers and solidified Client Customer Engineering’s Graphics, Perceptual, and Storage team as an integral component to successful programs. Hope joined Intel as a Hardware Application Engineer supporting various technologies and projects, including the 430TX chipset, USB, Linux, Rambus Memory Technology, Graphics, and Optane™.

Hope is an active member of Intel’s Black Leadership Council. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Syracuse University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of California, Davis. Hope resides in Rancho Cordova, CA, with his wife of 20 years, their 13-year-old daughter, and their 7-year-old son, and is based in Folsom.
