Jonathan Chew is currently a Creative Producer for Walt Disney Imagineering working on Inclusive Strategies making sure the Disney Parks and its stories are diverse and culturally relevant to today’s global audience. He studied Electrical Engineering at UCLA with a Computer Science Specialization and Biomedical Focus. He has worked at several leading companies in different industries like Amgen, Raytheon, and has held several positions such as Ride Controls Engineer, Project Coordinator, and Program Manager of the Blue Sky Innovation Studio at WDI. At Disney, he has worked on several exciting projects like Cars Land, Shanghai Disneyland, and the new Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge now open at Walt Disney World and Disneyland (when Covid lets that park reopen). Jonathan also loves writing time travel sci-fi stories with his wife, and is a life coach and mentor for IEEE. He was president of IEEE UCLA student branch while at UCLA. From the moment he gave the Graduation Speech for the UCLA School of Engineering, Jonathan has also enjoyed speaking across the globe. He hopes to inspire you to create a more “Positopian” world, to rise in this coming year, and to help you realize your potential to build a big beautiful tomorrow.
